this system does not recommend
itself to the Colony, the Secretary of
State for War is quite willing that the
alternative system referred to in para-

as to the value of lands, acquired or
surrendered by the War Department for
the defence of the Colony, which would
provide all lands and buildings re- quired for its garrison, and receive them back again when no longer suitable
to their purpose.
